I bought this book and tried it and lost over 40 pounds in three months. I continued to lose weight after that, but soon learned that after 12 years of trying to have a baby that I was pregnant. I had been through countless fertility treatments and none worked. I have a beautiful son who we adopted also. I really think that by ridding my body of processed foods and basically junk, my body recognized this and was able to have a baby. This really is a healthy way to eat and change your lifestyle. I even think that I seemed happier while eating this way! I just went shopping yesterday and I am back on the reverse diet and hoping to lose the baby weight! I know that with the Reverse Diet that I can do it. I also went and bought a stationary bike for the house also. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who would like to change his or her life for the better!

I purchased the book against better judgment. However, after a few months I can’t seem to force myself past the halfway point. I am just not a fan of fluff writing or “therapy” books. I thought this book was from the view point of Tricia and her journey to lose weight but it appears to be written more from the co-authors clinical perspective (who has probably never dealt with the complexities and frustration of obesity). So far, they haven’t covered anything you can’t find for free. Drink hot lemon water, eat tons of soy, eat fish for breakfast and shredded wheat w/oj for dinner and reverse all your meals. I read that in woman’s world for less than $2.

It’s one thing to hear about a lifestyle diet, read what others do in a support group, try it, but not be sure about some questions…THEN when the book comes out, it suddenly becomes a real lifestyle that we all can do. I am a visual person and need to see things and read them over and over…then it all finally sinks in and things are not so overwhelming. So, for me the book was just what I needed to put this all together. What a wonderful help, and so simple to follow. No matter what our size, it works!!
